Chemical Documentation Disclaimer

This is a placeholder policy for early access. It is not legal advice — have counsel review it against your regulatory obligations before relying on it in production.
ChemDocs is a documentation tool, not a regulatory authority
ChemDocs generates structured chemical documentation — SDS, MSDS, COA, and specifications — from data you provide and from chemical hazard data sourced from ECHA and PubChem (see each chemical's recorded source and retrieval date). It does not independently verify your product composition, does not inspect your facilities, and does not certify regulatory compliance in any jurisdiction.
You are responsible for your documents
You remain responsible for verifying that the composition, classification, and regulatory profile you select are correct for your product, and that the generated document meets the requirements of every jurisdiction you ship to. Hazard classifications are computed from the UN GHS additivity rules against sourced component data — they are not a substitute for professional regulatory review, especially for hazard classes the classification engine does not yet model (see the README for current known gaps).
No guarantee of universal compliance
Regulatory requirements differ by country and change over time. A document generated under a given regulatory profile (e.g. GHS International, US OSHA HazCom, EU CLP, UK) reflects that profile's rules as implemented in ChemDocs at generation time — it is not a guarantee that the document satisfies every requirement of that jurisdiction, or any jurisdiction not explicitly listed.
Chemical data provenance
Every chemical record in ChemDocs carries a data source, source URL, and retrieval date. Records sourced from PubChem or newly imported are flagged for manual review and are not treated as verified until a human confirms them. Never treat an unverified record's hazard data as authoritative for an official filing.
