Terms of Service
Last updated July 26, 2026
This is a placeholder for early access. It is not legal advice — have counsel review it before relying on it in production, particularly the disclaimer and liability sections given the safety-compliance context.
What ChemDocs is
ChemDocs generates Safety Data Sheets and GHS hazard labels based on chemical composition data you provide, cross-referenced against our database of regulatory hazard classifications sourced from ECHA and PubChem.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the composition data you enter, including component identities and concentration ranges. Where a chemical in our database is flagged as lacking a confirmed harmonized classification, you are responsible for sourcing and verifying that data (e.g. from a supplier SDS or a direct regulatory lookup) before relying on the generated document.
No substitute for professional judgment
Generated documents are a tool to speed up compliance work, not a substitute for review by a qualified EHS professional or legal counsel, particularly for products with complex or high-risk hazard profiles. You remain responsible for the compliance of your own products and documentation in your jurisdiction.
Disclaimer of warranties
ChemDocs is provided "as is." While we source hazard data from recognized regulatory sources and implement published GHS mixture-classification rules, we do not warrant that generated documents are complete, error-free, or sufficient for your specific regulatory obligations.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChemDocs is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of generated documents. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Account terms
You need a company account to use ChemDocs. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves and will note the date above when we do.
